I remember in my sociology class we were talking about race and racism and things that are black and white, like how white is a “pure” color while black is often symolized as a “bad” color. My teacher asked for suggestions of white things that are regarded positively and black things negatively. Everyone mentioned “normal” things (black cats, etc.) and I mentioned the angel food cake/devil food cake thing and everyone looked at me like I was nuts. BUT IT’S TRUE!!!!!!! Luckily my teacher laughed and accepted my answer. Fuck yea.
